Roy Patterson (Bio) |
| A veteran of both coasts (East and West), Roy Patterson spent six years as an apprentice to LeRoy Jensen in Vancouver, British Columbia before settling in Maine. As a sculptor, he has proven his versatility: he works large and small, smooth and rough, working in hard stones like granite and marble, and softer materials like limestone, alabaster, and wood. He sculpts works that are meant to stay outside as well as more intimate, indoor pieces. Incorporating the figurative and the abstract, he obscures these definitions with his imaginative stylized sculpture. |
